Welcome to the new Blake-Fisher.com. This is the home to all of my collected professional work.
Product Management, Marketing, UI/UX Design, & App/Web Development experience.
Former Journalist, Radio DJ, & Digital Publishing expert.
I began my education and career in Communications during the early 2000s and specialized in print layout, photography, and design. From there I launched into the print industry and quickly moved up the ranks to take on pre-press management roles and developed various technical skills related to Digital Publishing.
It was in the late 2000s that I shifted focus towards innovative technology and moved into Marketing, Sales, and Management.
Over the past 5 years, I’ve moved back into design and management roles while navigating the Vancouver tech startup and freelance sector.
My passions lie in designing, leading, and curating new and optimal user experiences across a wide variety of devices ranging from computers to mobile devices and wearables.
I can help advise with any marketing needs from branding and email marketing analytics, SEO, and advertising.
I have a wealth of experience in building, consulting on, and designing E-Commerce, Wordpress, and HTML5-based websites.
Whether it be a need for basic print graphic design, logo creation, mockups, wireframes or overall UI or UX concepts and assets, I've got you covered.
I managed DIGI117’s App Portfolio of about 15 major productivity apps plus another 100 or so education and game based apps (for iOS and Android). As Product Director, I was responsible for staff, administration, marketing, web development, customer service and UI/UX design work. I also needed to oversee all development and hiring.
I was responsible for the project management of a number of software products related to Digital Publishing tools (web, mobile, and desktop applications) and the coordination of all staff. I was also the lead on the UI/UX work for these projects and helped guide business development and research.
My role at E-CARD was to assist their sales and marketing efforts with graphic design, traditional printing, and web development. Google Adwords, SEO, eCommerce web development, and print material production and design were my major tasks.
I served as technical representative in a variety of locations along the west coast to assist their sales and technical efforts in printing and digital publishing with a number of their top clients. I also assisted in project management and research with their Montreal-based software team and print consultation efforts.
Excelled at Design, Typgraphy, Desktop Publishing and Communications.
